The Story Behind Our Gran Fiesta: How a Handwoven Tote Became a Movement

It started with a vision. A handwoven tote, made from naturally dyed junco reed, designed to be bold yet balanced. Something you could carry to the beach or brunch and know — no one else would have the same. But Gran Fiesta quickly became more than a tote. It became a love story between form and function, beauty and purpose. And with your feedback, it evolved into something extraordinary.

The Original Tote

The first Gran Fiesta was all about simplicity and impact.
Handwoven in Peru from durable junco reed, naturally dyed, fully lined, and finished with a drawstring closure to keep your belongings safe — it was bold, sturdy, and beautiful.
We paired it with our heart- or star-shaped tassels, and the response was instant. A new kind of everyday icon was born.

It was our very first Gran Fiesta Tote — natural and bold — that caught the eye of editors and stylists alike. In fact, the Gran Fiesta in Natural Carnival was featured in the Australian Women’s Weekly as a stand-out piece, right from the very beginning. See the feature on Instagram ↗.

Listening, Learning, Evolving (The Strap Version)

As your love for Gran Fiesta grew, so did your ideas. We heard you — sometimes you needed your hands free.
So we added a comfortable, vegetable-tanned suede strap, in a tone that complemented the basket’s palette. Same artisan basket. Same tassel. Just with an extra layer of practicality.

The Gran Fiesta with Coin Purse – Beauty Meets Function

Then came the coin purse. A perfectly-sized, handwoven mini that fits your keys, lipstick, or AirPods. But we didn’t stop there.
We matched it with a wrist strap — in the same suede as the shoulder strap — for a coordinated, premium finish.
Now you had a tote, a shoulder strap, a matching coin purse, and a tassel — all handcrafted, all conscious, all strikingly beautiful.

Design That Cares

Every Gran Fiesta is made in Peru by skilled artisans using the most sustainable techniques available.
The junco reed is naturally dyed, dried, woven, and assembled with precision. Our fully lined interiors protect the structure and your belongings, while the whole piece remains incredibly lightweight and durable.

And no — you won’t get colour transfer on your clothes. (We test for that.)

Colours That Bring Neutrals to Life

Our Gran Fiesta colours are chosen to elevate your wardrobe, not overpower it.
From earthy terracottas to bold blues, each one pairs effortlessly with your neutrals. Some are quiet. Others are vibrant. All are uniquely Orange Inca.

Which One’s Yours?

Whether you’re a minimalist or a maximalist, a tote-lover or a hands-free wanderer — there’s a Gran Fiesta with your name on it. You can start with one, or collect the whole evolution.
Just know this: they’re made in limited runs, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
