The yarns are softly marled, so each stripe shifts gently in tone.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWoven in two halves on a narrow traditional loom, then joined by hand with a stitch down the centre — the seam is part of how every frazada is made.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWoven in a remote village around Cusco or Puno, high in the Peruvian Andes — places reached on foot, sometimes by donkey. Each piece takes four to six weeks to weave, in 100% sheep and alpaca wool, naturally dyed.
